Ada White Taylor is a gifted artist, writer and Christian educator. A mother of two: son Terry and daughter Keisha, she became a young widow in 1994 and thereafter left a public school teaching career in Upstate New York to embark upon Seminary training in North Carolina. Her mission, to gain greater knowledge of God, deeper intimacy with Jesus the Christ, and communion with the Holy Spirit, eventually culminated in her acceptance as an ordained “Elder” and preacher of the gospel. Ada holds fast to Philippians 2:5 as a driving force in her calling and service in the ministry of Christ: “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,” (NKJV).
As an ordained elder Ada is a servant leader in the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Lithonia, Georgia, under the pastorate of the apostle, Bishop Eddie L. Long. She has served directly, at different times, with its Prison Ministry, Healing & Bereavement Ministry, and the New Birth Bible Institute (formerly a division of Life Christian University from which she earned the D.Min. degree).
As artist, whether wood burning clocks, designing original note cards, or painting colorful canvases, Ada loves to enhance the lives of others with simple beauty and edification. Today, Ada also treasures time spent between the States of Georgia and New York with her adult children, their spouses and seven grandchildren, as well as international travel.
